My Darling Virginia Songtext

my darling virginia oh where have you gone?
the days in my treehouse are they really done?
the fire it burns in the pit of your house
your watery blouse is the waves of the ground

and i will hold you in my arms
keep you from flying away
tornadoes inside my eyes
dying every day

the air it is filled with the noise of our throats
the sound of our voices will hover and float
the notes of our birdsong are crawling away
on eight scary legs they will fade today

the high-traveled seas are escaping from me
creating a beautiful crown
the sound of your voice washed over me
drowning me in the sound

the air in my windpipes is filled with your life
pulsing and driving it will be alright
the growls of the creatures are reaching our ears
the delicate leer of those wasted years
the lift from their necks makes a curious sound
stretching up from the ground
the notes they are pouring from their open mouths
spewing forth this sound
